NEOM unveils its latest art and entertainment destination, Utamo
Staff Report,
Dubai, UAE
The Board of Directors of NEOM, Saudi Arabia’s futuristic hub for innovation, has unveiled Utamo, a multi-purpose theatre that will host art shows, musical performances, and exhibitions. Located in the mountainous region of the Gulf of Aqaba coastline, Utamo is the latest destination to be announced by the sustainable regional development evolving in northwest Saudi Arabia.
Blending nature and technology, Utamo creates a unique backdrop for cultural events, exhibitions, and art activations that will transform traditional entertainment experiences. It will facilitate immersive artistic installations and performances as well as set up advanced audio-visual systems for interactive entertainment.
Utamo will have an extended pathway of a garden promenade, featuring more than 50 species of flora set before the grand hall. The 64-meter-high entrance, which pays homage to art and design, sets the scene for the awe-inspiring experiences awaiting guests inside. Furthermore, the theatre will house VIP lounges and signature restaurants.
To ensure minimal intervention with the surrounding environment, NEOM will deploy sustainable practices in the design and construction of Utamo. The city’s tech-driven plan will elevate Saudi Arabia’s position as a front-runner in the Gulf real estate.
News of the development follows the recent announcements of Leyja, Epicon, and Siranna, NEOM’s latest sustainable tourism destinations.
