Hatta Resorts promotes eco-tourism and adventure at ATM

Staff Report,

Dubai, UAE

Hatta Resorts and Wadi Hub have showcased Hatta’s eco-tourism at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), reflecting on the region’s burgeoning visitor count of 351,000 from September 2023 to April 2024, a notable 40.4 percent increase to last season’s figures. Located in the Hajar Mountains, Hatta presents a sustainable destination that caters to both relaxation seekers and adventurers alike.

The development in Hatta aligns with the broader objectives of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, including the all-season Hatta Beach Project and innovative sustainable transportation systems like the mountain tram. These initiatives are expected to further boost visitor numbers to Hatta Resorts and its Wadi Hub. Additionally, the region is becoming a hub for local agriculture, with projects like the Hatta Honey Bee Discovery Centre and the upcoming Hatta Strawberry Farm.

Roudi Soubra, Vice President – Asset Management at Dubai Holding Hospitality Assets, said, “Hatta Resorts’ participation in the exhibition is the perfect gateway to showcase the ever-growing eco-tourism sector in Dubai and provide local and international trade professionals with a glimpse into Hatta Resorts’ glamping accommodations, outdoor adventure activities in the Wadi Hub as well as to Hatta Sign, which received a Guinness World Records™ title few months ago. In collaboration with Dubai authorities and the local community, we also reinforce cultural experiences in historical sites and heritage villas, local agricultural projects, and other upcoming offerings around the region.”

“At the show, we are highlighting the sustainable developments set to enhance Hatta’s reputation as a top-tier travel destination, aligning with the Dubai 2040 Urban Plan, and the Hatta Master Development Plan,” Soubra added.

With sustainability, innovation, and a commitment to preserving its natural beauty and cultural heritage at the forefront, Hatta’s future plans promise a wealth of diverse experiences and attractions for visitors and travel professionals when the new season begins in October 2024.
