Sotheby’s International Realty has listed the Marble Palace that comes with a price tag of Dh750 million (US$204 million), the region’s most expensive home that is now being showcased to the world for the first time for sale. The trophy embraces the aesthetics of the Belle Époque era.
The Marble Palace spans over 70,000 square feet of land with 60,000 square feet of built-up space. Drawing inspiration from the High Renaissance and Baroque periods, this meticulously curated property is a testament to ultimate luxury, catering to discerning buyers seeking an unparalleled lifestyle within Dubai’s thriving real estate market.
George Azar, CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty in the UAE, says, “We’re so excited to bring this listing to the market. It is a testimony of the forward-thinking and innovative approach to property design that is rippling across Dubai.’’
“Every aspect of The Marvel Palace reflects an extraordinary commitment of time, energy, and dedication by the team involved. In one instance, seventy skilled artisans devoted more than nine months to meticulously apply 700,000 sheets of gold leaf that embellish the property. The Palace’s grandiose design is the culmination of twelve years research and analysis of royal palaces and residences, involving frequent trips to Europe. The result is an extraordinary display of craftsmanship and attention to detail, showcasing the collective efforts of everyone involved,” he added.
The ground floor of The Marble Palace boasts a spectacular formal dining room, featuring an 80,000 Coral Reef aquarium as its centrepiece. This unique addition adds an enchanting element to the home’s ambiance. Complementing the dining room is a custom precious stone and crystal dining table, alongside other collector’s pieces, completing the luxurious atmosphere.
The Marble Palace highlights two artistically curated domes, each taking over two and a half years. Adorned with 160 elegant marble columns intricately embellished with elaborate Corinthian motifs, these domes soar over 14 meters from the ground floor. Hand-carved glass crafted by seventeen expert French Artists and adorned with 20,000 coloured textured glass fragments, grace the domes’ interiors. The palace facade features hand-worked marble cladding sourced from over 40 containers of natural stone and marble imported from around the world.
A symmetrical koi fishpond is located beneath the second dome, featuring an impressive stone block adorned with The Three Graces sculptures in the style of the 18th-century Canova artwork. The ground floor also houses an indoor pool room finished with mother of pearl accents, a steam room, a sauna, and a 24-carat gold Jacuzzi. Additionally, the property includes a world-class presidential home office and a 360 square m master bedroom on the first floor, with the potential to expand to eight additional rooms. The first floor also features a 200-square-meter fully equipped techno-gym space, while the basement hosts a professionally curated 16-car garage.
The Marble Palace offers more than just luxurious interiors. Its grounds feature 50 mature trees, creating a serene environment, and a small lake with a pavilion, providing an idyllic outdoor space for relaxation and contemplation.
