A series of housing projects worth Dh5.4 billion that will create 3,004 diverse homes for Emiratis across Dubai has been approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. This initiative aligns with the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme launched by H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of Dubai’s ruler, and will particularly benefit families, as reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Out of 3,004 new homes, 1,181 will be developed in Latifa City for citizens under the housing loan category. 606 houses will be distributed to beneficiaries of housing grant in Al Yalayis 5, 432 homes in Wadi Al Amardi, 398 homes in Al Awir 1, 200 homes in the Makan area of Hatta, 120 homes in Oud Al Muteena, and 67 homes in the countryside and rural areas of Dubai.
The housing programme will play an instrumental role in citizens’ wellbeing, ensuring ample spaces paired with lifestyle amenities for families. The Vice President mentioned that such housing initiatives will bolster stability and enhance living standards for citizens.
As reported by WAM, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, said, “Housing programmes for citizens represent a top priority and we are committed to ensuring that our people have the best living standards and all the support they need to foster stable family environments and community wellbeing. People are the foundation of our renaissance, our successful development experience, and the cornerstone of the global standing we have achieved in all respects.”
Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, highlighted developing integrated residential environment to maximise comfort and safety for the people, reflecting the leadership’s vision to elevate quality of living. The newly launched housing program is part of a series of projects that will cater to the future housing needs of Emiratis within integrated communities and ensure public wellbeing over the next two decades.
