Dubai: Sharjah-based property developer Arada reported a 38 percent growth in sales value to Dh2.41 billion in 2021, compared to the previous year.The company has sold 2,488 homes in 2021, a 6 percent increase on the year before, as buyers continued to invest in higher-value apartments and villas.

Investor interest remained strong at Aljada, Sharjah’s largest ever mixed-use project, where Arada sold 1,796 homes at a total value of almost Dh1.1 billion. The developer completed over 1,200 homes at Aljada during 2021, with the first residential phase of the project almost complete.

Arada’s best-performing project in terms of sales was Masaar, the upscale forested villa community that became the UAE’s first major offplan launch of last year. In total, the developer sold 559 homes at Masaar with a value of almost Dh1.2 billion. The first residential contract at the project is scheduled to be awarded this month.
Aljada’s first school, SABIS International School-Aljada (SIS-Aljada), welcomed its first pupils in September, while construction work also began on the second phase of the Madar family entertainment complex. During 2021, Arada also awarded a number of major construction contracts at Aljada, including for the Nest student housing district, The Boulevard apartment buildings and the second Sarab garden villa community.
At Nasma Residences, the villa and townhouse community in the Al Suyoh district of Sharjah, Arada completed the Nasma Central lifestyle hub and park in May, and homes in the sixth and final phase of the project scheduled to be completed in the coming weeks.
The total value of Arada’s three projects is Dh33 billion and the developer has sold nearly 9,300 homes since its launch in 2017.
