Abu Dhabi will invest Dh42 billion to boost its Liveability Strategy that will deliver projects focusing on infrastructure development and better access to essential facilities in residential communities. The plan was approved by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, at the Abu Dhabi Executive Council meeting. The expansion will further enhance the quality of life for Emirati families.
Following the launch of the first phase of the strategy, average integration of residential neighbourhoods across the emirate reached 81 percent in 2025, up from 67 percent prior to the strategy’s introduction in 2023.
More than 60 projects worth Dh12 billion were identified as key success factors, including the construction of more than 200 parks and sports courts, 24 schools, 21 mosques, and 28 community majlises. Nearly 120 kilometres of walking paths, 283 cycling tracks, and approximately 220 kilometres of new street lighting and 200 beautification works were completed as part of these projects.
The Crown Prince also reviewed progress on residential infrastructure projects and directed the acceleration of work to further enhance quality of life and improve services for citizens and residents in the emirate.
